Every Tennode employees are committed to providing defect-free products and quality services by knowing the requirements of their job.
What is RoHS Compliance?
The European Union set forth the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive to establish environmental guidelines and legislation to reduce the presence of six (6) materials deemed hazardous to the environment. To comply, products entering the EU must not have a homogeneous presence of these materials above the following levels by weight percentage:
Quantity limit: 0.1 % of weight (1000ppm) of any homogeneous material:
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI)
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): max 0.1%
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): max 0.1%
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): max 0.1%
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): max 0.1%
Quantity limit: 0.01 % of weight (100 ppm) of any homogeneous material:
- Cadmium (Cd)
At Tennode, we recognize our responsibility as a supplier of cable assemblies, connectors, and components that may be used in systems and products that will be required to be RoHS compliant. We are fully committed to offering RoHS compliance on the majority of our products. We have completed a comprehensive evaluation and analysis program both internally and with our suppliers to establish and publish RoHS compliant statements for our products on our website.
